Target Group

Safe Start is ideal for your camp staff ages 16-24.

Format and Training Structure

Turn-key
All training materials including handbooks, workbooks, Powerpoint slides and tests are provided to your trainer and staff. Your trainer must simply familiarize themselves with the training materials before presenting.

Convenient Module Format
The Safe Start content is broken up into 4 short modules. (20 minutes each)

Group Learning
At the end of each module there are fun and interactive groupactivities that reinforce learning and help customize the training content for your camp.

Testing
There are two tests. One to complete at the halfway point and one for the end. These will help your staff to demonstrate that there understand the material presented. Tests and attendence list will be filed to document staff participation should these records be requested in a court of law.

Reinforced Learning Method
All of your staff will have different learning styles. Some will prefer to read and listen. Others will be more visual and learn by seeing. Others prefer to learn by doing and take a "hands-on" approach to learning. Safe Start ingrates all of these learning styles through the use of oral presentation with visual options, workbook readings, "hands-on" group activities and written tests.
