A; YES! The course content is general in nature as to be suitable for staff at the counselor level. It is meant to be more of a practical overview of camp health and safety rather than specific to federal laws and regional standards. Q: How long does it take to teach the material in the Safe Start Program?

A: The program is broken down into 4 modules. Each module takes about 20-30 minutes to present. We recommend that you present all modules to your camp staff, but this is not required. There are fun, group activities and a written test after each module.

Q: Can CampStandard provide a trainer to come to our camp to complete the Safe Start Program?
A: In the future, we hope to offer this service. In the meantime, this training program has been developed to allow anyone to teach it using the many resources available.
